Grandma and grandpa! The most precious jewels life can ever offer. I wonder how lucky one has to be to still have these special people in their life.
Growing up around grandparents brings pure joy. The bond between grandparents and grandchildren is one of the purest and strongest there is. The little ones are well aware of the fact that their grandmas and grandpas are there to buy them a bunch of stuff and spoil them rotten. Above all, in these elderly members of their family, the kids can always find shelter. Why? Because parents are sort of parents but with more sleep, fewer rules, and an endless supply of cookies.
However, what’s even more important and meaningful than the fun times they offer is the wisdom they have gathered over the years.
That’s why I think grandparents should share certain things while they still have the chance. The kind of words that stick with a kid and stay with them as they grow up.
When it all comes down to it, those little conversations become a part of who they are. They offer comfort, point them in the right direction later on, and always remind them of where they started and how deeply they were loved.
Never forget how deeply you were loved. More than I ever found the words to say!
